The Division of City Schools (DCS) - Valenzuela launched the Senior High School(SHS) website held at Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science (VALMASCI) on August 19, 2015.
The event started with message delivered by Dr. Victoria Tafalla, Chief Curriculum Implementation Divison (CID) and one of the members of the SHS implementation team. She emphasized the importance of Senior School in future career of the students.
"SHS will give bigger opportunities for our students to work abroad", Tafalla said.
Wilfredo E. Cabral, Schools Division Superintendent , mentioned some of the issues and problems the Division of City Schools - Valenzuela is currently facing in preparing for the year implementation of the SHS program. One of the issues that he emphasized was of the land titles for the SHS sites. He said that the DepEd-Valenzuela officials with the collaboration of the Local Government Officials are doing their part to immediately act on it and resolve the aformentioned problems.
Meanwhile, Dr. Christopher Delino, Senior Education Program Specialist in Research and Planning gave the SHS updates. According to Dr. Delino, some of the schools that will offer SHS programs are Valenzuela National High School, Siter Francisco Memorial National School, Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science, Bignay National High School and some private schools with provisionary permit.
During the launching, the conduct of online surve for grade 10 stuents was also highlighted. The content, layout, and interface of the online survey were presented to the audience. School heads, Supervisors and Computer Aides were also given chance to answer the SHS online survey to personnaly experience and give suggestions and recommendatios for the improvement of the material.
" The main objective of the development of SHS website is to promote the SEnior High School programs. This is a good campaign material where all programs, projects, updates and announcements will b e easily viewed by the stakeholders", Chief SGOD Dr. Baltazar Gayem.
